Gas Prices Continue Decline in Lane County

According to GasBuddy.com, gas prices in the Eugene-Springfield area have fallen to an average of $3.27 per gallon, down nine cents from a week ago, and 24 cents from a month ago.

Conoco and Safeway in Junction City are offering the cheapest gas to motorists, pumping fuel for $3.17 per gallon, with numerous area stations selling it for $3.18 and $3.19.

The most expensive regular unleaded gas in the area is being sold by the Shell station on Barger Dr. at $3.69 per gallon.

Travelers to the coast will pay about the same as Eugene-Springfield motorists, with unleaded selling for $3.19 per gallon at Safeway and 76 on Hwy 101 in Florence.

Area gas prices are the same on average as those statewide, although drivers in Roseburg are able to fill up their tanks at the ARCO and Costco there, both on NE Stephens St., for $2.99.
