Pizza Bandit Still At Large; Police Ask for Help

Story last updated on March 19th, 2013 at 11:13 pm.

Eugene and Springfield police are looking for a man they believe is responsible for a string of robberies in the area over the last week and a half.

Similarities in age, height, build, and method of operation have local police thinking that one man is responsible for the robberies. Because of the type of business the suspect targets, some people are calling him the “pizza bandit.”

The latest robbery took place last Friday at the Little Caesar’s Pizza located on Green Acres Rd in north Eugene. Two days before that, the suspect struck in Springfield by robbing the Little Caesar’s on Q St.

Each time, the suspect is described to be a 6′ to 6’3″ male in his late 20′s or early 30′s with a thin build. He has either used a note, a gun, or the threat of a gun to commit the crimes. In each case, nobody was hurt.

Anyone with information that may help to identify and apprehend the suspect is asked to contact the Springfield Police Department at (541) 726-3714 or the Eugene Police Department at (541) 682-5111.
